Practical information

Groceries, gas stations and withdrawing cash

In the village of Ceilhes-et-Rocozels, that lies about 5 km from the farm, there is a Vival (small supermarket) where you can buy bread, croissants, and staple ingredients. For more extensive shopping it is best to go the nearest city, Lodeve, that is a 25 minute drive away. Here you can also get fuel and withdraw cash: there are no gas stations or cash machines in Ceilhes. Please make sure you have enough fuel in your tank when you travel to Mas d’Arbousse!

Markets

In July and August there is a small market every Sunday morning at the lake of Ceilhes. There is a market every Wednesday in Avene, also outside of the summer months. In Lodeve there is a large market every Saturday, where you can buy meat, fish, nuts, olives, fruits and vegetables, as well as clothing, bags, jewellery and toys. There is also a market in Saint Affrique on Saturdays, in Bedarieux on Mondays and in Millau on Wednesdays (small) and Fridays (large). These markets are always held in the morning.

Fish seller

Every Friday morning the Poissonnier (fishmonger) visits the farm with his truck. Here you can buy fresh fish.

Train

The farm is located around 1500 meters from the small train station Ceilhes-Roqueredonde, on the Beziers-Millau line. Around 4 trains run each day in every direction. A ticket to Beziers costs around 1.50 euro, to Millau around 8.50 euro.
